Last month we sought advice from the Public Health and the Irish Football Association and along with all other football clubs in Northern Ireland, together we decided to CANCEL all training and matches until Saturday 4th May 2020 to safeguard our coaches parents players and the general public.
With the current government restrictions remaining in place until 9th May the Irish FA Board have agreed to extend the suspension of the football season in Northern Ireland until the 31st May 2020.
This announcement means no football will be played until further notice. We would like to thank all our coaches, parents and affiliated bodies for the continued support throughout this ongoing situation. We know its hard but if we all follow the advice from the government we can defeat this dreadful virus.
Together we can minimise the risk to the most vulnerable in our community and help the NHS cope with the pressure that this pandemic can cause as we are not out of the woods as yet but we can see an improvement in the COVID-19 official stats and that’s enough to show that together we can beat this silent assassin.
I would like to take this opportunity, as our U10s have done so well, and urge everyone to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.
